First snow of 2019

First snow of 2019

This winter season we’ve had a few small snow storms blow through that dropped a few inches here and there. Last night a winter storm blew in dropping five and a half inches of snow (as of our 8AM observation) and there is a possibility of another six inches on the way before it’s all over!

Of course, the kids have been out sledding, attempting to build things, and otherwise having fun in the snow. The fun began at around 7:00AM, paused for lunch at 10:00AM, and restarted shortly there after. If you are familiar with Calvin and Hobbes and the snowmen that “attack”, I tried to do something similar to our neighbor up the street using the penguin mold that Amanda bought in December but, alas, I was thwarted. I’ll try better next storm!

And now that we’ve been notified that school will be closed tomorrow, expect to see even more pictures and video tomorrow!
